You may already have done something similar to this before, such as granny squares or bunting, but I thought that this one looked a little different so might be something you’d like to experiment with. You can alternate row colours quite easily by the looks of it too.
Home-made At My Place have already put this in UK terms, and looks relatively simple.
(Edit: I made a mistake and misread the pattern – it’s in US terms, not UK! Therefore:
US single crochet = UK double crochet
US half double crochet = UK half treble crochet
US double crochet = UK treble crochet)
