New free pattern: child’s crochet collar

Rosy Alice Handmade

I love making collars! They’re so quick and easy. Here’s a pattern I used to make this collar. IMG_20140923_110232

Chain 121.

Row 1: Htr (US hdc) all the way along. Fasten off.

Row 2: Count 35 stitches in and htr into 36th. Crochet 50 htr across. This will leave 35 chains either side for ties.

Row 3: Chain 1. 2 htr into stitch at base of chain. Repeat this sequence all the way across: htr, htr, 2htr into next. You should end on a 2htr.

Row 4: Chain 2. Repeat this sequence all the way across: Skip next stitch. Tr into next (US dc). Go back and tr into the skipped stitch. This creates a twisted effect, a bit like a triangle. Looks cool!

Fasten off and sew in ends.
