Crocheting in Public

I’ve crocheted in public. At the doctor’s, people watched me like they were hypnotized!

Lovingly Hooked

I am sure many, if not all, of you have had that moment… That day that you decide to take your latest work in progress along to the nearest coffee shop, park or other public place to work on. That day you find yourself torn between cringing and bursting out in laughter at the comments and looks you get.

On Sundays my husband attends a men’s group, so during that time I usually sit in a cafe and work on whatever I happen to bring along that day while enjoying a tea. Not only do I get some great work done, relax and enjoy some me time in a different environment, but there is also ENDLESS entertainment to be found in the reactions of those around me.

Lets start with the looks… the looks seriously make my day! That person who walks past and then you notice 30 seconds later…

  1. Wow so true!! The looks and comments that people give.. and oh the judgement! This is the only reason that has stopped me from taking my work out.. I’m just 21 and I don’t want to be scarred for life! 😛 but my mom does bring her bead work on road Trips and she gets most of her project done! Thanks for the post!
