A Little of This and a Little of That
These icicle ornaments seem to be one of my more popular posts so I thought I would go ahead and post the pattern. Let’s see if I can get it right. It’s really quick and easy, the icicle is shaped by wrapping it around a pencil.
Crochet Icicle Ornaments
size 10 crochet thread (Aunt Lydia’s white/pearl)
size 2 steel crochet hook
stiffener
Ch 80
Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in ea ch across (79 hdc).
Row 2: Ch 2, Turn. Sk first st, hdc in each of the next 77 hdc. Continue to hanger instructions.
Hanger: hdc in top of the next st, ch 25, sl st at base of first sc of first row. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Pour some commercial stiffener in a bowl, or a mixture of 2/3 cup white glue and 1/3 cup water. Depending on how stiff you want…
