Crochet basics – know your hook

It’s important to be familiar with all kinds of hooks, especially so that you can find out what works best for you. For example, I thought metal hooks would be rad until I tried one and the squeaky sound the yarn makes when it’s dragged across the metal sets my teeth on edge!

You might work better with a hook at a different angle, as detailed in the post.

You might prefer a hook with a narrower throat.
